2009 Holiday Open House December 2
 RED the Promotions Fish is hosting the Holiday Open House and you're invited! The networking event takes place on Wednesday December 2nd, from 5pm to 7pm. at Lighthouse Promotions on 149 Portage Trail, Downtown Cuyahoga Falls 44221.

Fight the Flu!
With the flu season upon us, and H1N1 on everyone's minds,it's good to take preparations for this irksome thing. While we already know about getting shots, boosting your immune system is a great way to combat this season. Here are some steps to do just that:
Vitamins: Vitamins C and B12 are well known for helping your immune system. Take one a day during the cold months.
Say no to these foods: Cut back junk food, refined sugars, and highly processed food. Not only are they bad for your body in general, but they aren't doing your immune system any favors, either. Caffeine is your enemy during the cold months as well. Switching to decaf would be a safer bet.
Stay hydrated: Herbal teas, water, and diluted fruit juice are your friends here. Great for you, and go down clean.
Good old homemade soup: Grandma's chicken soup recipe is never wrong. Bone broths are full of nutrients.
Balance of rest and activity: Not having a good nights sleep can lower your immune system, so making sure you get good rest at night is crucial. On the flip side, maintaining healthy activity and keeping blood pumping strengthens the body and immune system as well.
Those are just a few tips for keeping healthy and fighting off that flu bug this holiday season. You can also stay healthy by staying clean, like with these hand cleaning products we offer through our catalog. Remember, flu shots are one thing, but how we take care of our body goes a long way, too!

Meet Our Newest Team Member: The Promotions Gal!
Hi all! I am Stephanie Ruggles, the
Promotions Gal, a new Account Manager at Lighthouse Promotions. I am so
excited to be able to work side by side with RED The Promotions Fish and Greg The
Promotions Guy. For the past 17 years I have helped others buy the products
they want. Recently I worked at Starbucks, where I worked daily delivering an exceptional
product. Starbucks taught me outstanding follow thru, speed of service, and the
"always make it right attitude", that I follow now. The promotions business changes everyday and
keeps you on your toes. I love being able to meet my customers needs and help
them create brand awareness, provide recognition for employees and fabulous
gifts for their customers.
I have been married for 19 years
and have two beautiful teenage daughters, two dogs and a cat. I love to ride my
bike, read and garden. My girls play soccer throughout the year and my husband
is a Journeymen Machinist. We are
members of Lakeside Christian Church and are involved in several community outreach
programs. Project Shine in Kenmore, is our one true passion and we have been
painting houses and doing yard cleanup one week a summer since 2003. I sit on
the Board as the fundraising chairperson and work directly with our youth
uplifting their spirits and teaching them responsibility and ownership of a
task well done.
